Digital Art & Design
Course Overview
This course teaches core skills using Canva, a free open-source. Topics include learning processes for evaluating artworks, and identifying selected artists’ works, styles, and historical periods. Students learn 3D space in a 2D environment; filters, gradients and highlights; and methods of working with color. Students express themselves creatively in original digital drawings and artwork. The advanced Graphic Arts course focuses on the more advanced principles and elements of art and design. By the end of this course, students will have created a unique portfolio of digital artwork.

Muwaffaq Abdulmajid
Associate Professor and Course Leader
Muwaffaq Abdulmajid is an Associate Professor at the Public Authority for Applied Education in Kuwait, where he teaches art, design, and computer graphics for over twenty years. His artwork is exhibited nationally and internationally. Currently a full-time graphisist. Professor Muwaffaq is also the author of several ebooks on Digital Arabic Typography.
Metaverse
The metaverse is the emerging 3-D-enabled digital space that uses virtual reality, augmented reality, and other advanced internet and semiconductor technology to allow people to have lifelike personal and business experiences online.
